Working with my GP, specialist doctors and dieticians has allowed me to now lead a much more comfortable lifestyle with far less symptoms then ever before.
Initially frustrated trying to figure out what on earth I could eat on this diet, my research and cooking skills have developed, and I now wholeheartedly embrace this way of life. I have particularly enjoyed taking a closer look into what I'm eating, and examining what minerals and nutrition I am putting in to my meals and ultimately my body.
Leading on from my own IBS issues I am also a strong advocate for leading a balanced, healthy lifestyle. This has lead me to remove sugar from my diet wherever possible. The addictive, sweet poison, sugar is being found by more and more research to be doing such significant damage to our health and is a highly contributing factor to our obese society.
So while I'm feeling all well and healthy I thought you, my dear reader, might be interested in what I have found and what I have created.
A fanatic researcher of recipes and cookbooks I disappointingly found very few recipes combining both low FODMAP and sugar free combinations. So with much trial and error (particularly on the baking front) I have been recording what works and what doesn't, and the results are here for you to enjoy and explore.
All the recipes I've listed here require only basic cooking skills and are designed for quick, highly nutritious meals because really, if it takes too long to create, or it's full of nutrient empty ingredients, what's the point?
Any questions or feedback is very much welcome so feel free to get in contact with me at any time. I'd love to hear how you find these recipes when attempting in your own kitchen, so don't be shy!
Happy cooking!
